Hey there friends! Thanks so much for stopping by, I’m Michelle Castro, the host of the Consider Jesus Podcast. I’ve gone back and forth on what to share here and how to prepare you for what’s to come. I’m a bottom line kinda girl and the nuts and bolts of it is…I want to encourage you to CONSIDER JESUS in all you do, but I also want to do that while having REAL, RAW, and HONEST conversations about those things we, as Christians, just don’t seem to talk about. Things like grief, sex, loss, marriage, parenting, mental health, friendships, and so much more! Through the ups and downs of my own personal story I’ve kinda become the one who tends to rip the bandaid off and say the hard things. Not because it comes naturally…nope, I’d really prefer to keep my dirt hidden, but because, the Lord has so kindly shown me that I am NOT THE ONLY ONE walking these different roads! I know you have a lot on your plate…whether it’s being a wife, mama, working, all of these, some of these, or completely different things…I want this place to be a space of comfort and encouragement! hebrews 3:1 says “Therefore, holy brothers, you who share in a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the apostle and high priest of our confession, Webster’s dictionary defines “consider” like this: “to gaze on steadily or reflectively” I LOVE that! I want to gaze steadily upon Jesus. I want to REFLECT Him in all I do…and I’m guessing…you do too! It’s my desire through this podcast to point you to Jesus while sharing real life stuff with you! You’ll hear from me and some pretty incredible guests. I’m not your typical 51 year old…I have fuschia hair, like my free people barrels, I’m just as happy reading a book on the couch as I am with my miter saw in the garage working on some hair-brained DIY project. I love a little coffee with my creamer, sitting around the kitchen table catching up with my family, and I’ll drive just about anywhere if tacos are involved! I know what you're thinking...
"Michelle...DUH! Of course I'm building a business of integrity!"

And honestly, I know you are!
I know that's the desire of your heart!
You've told me that multiple times! Your first and foremost goal is to HONOR THE LORD in all that you do!
I get that.

But, here's what I know for myself...I want that very same thing and then recently I found myself in a situation where I was made aware of a time when I actually hadn't behaved as a woman of integrity. I thought I had. I mean, I didn't mean to be anything but on the up and up, but the Lord made it clear to me how I had blurred the lines.

And that's what we're talking about today.
How are we blurring the lines in business?
How are we doing those little things that are seemingly fine and yet...they aren't?

I'm sharing three characteristics of a woman of integrity.
Before you get started, I'd encourage you to take a moment and pray through Psalm 139:23 and ask the Lord to SEARCH your heart.

"Michelle...aren't you all about the GOALS? The BIG, AUDACIOUS GOALS?"

In a word...YES!
BUT, the Lord is constantly refining me and it became pretty apparent that I wasn't FULLY surrendering to Him and I needed to do some drastic things.

Do I still have goals? Yes! BIG ones.

In today's episode I'm sharing a personal conviction that the Lord laid on my heart ... if He's laid the same conviction on yours...then you best listen up to what He's asking you to do. Personal convictions are awesome...because it's the Holy Spirit convicting you of something He wants you to do.

Not only am I sharing how I erased my goals, but I'm telling you what I swapped them out for.

I pray that this episode meets that one woman who also needs this like I did. I pray that you see the comfort and peace that comes when we obey what the Lord has put on our hearts.

If you've ever read through the scriptures you don't have to go very far to see how PERSONAL our God is! Over and over you'll see Him say "I am your God"! Oh man! I love that!

In today's MINDSET MONDAY we're looking at Isaiah 41:10 - there is so much to take away from this verse, but for me I love the reminder that God is not just some spiritual being, but He is MY GOD. He doesn't just tell us not to fear, but He reminds us who He is and WHAT He will do!

I pray that you find strength and hope from this episode.
No matter what you're walking through - if it's a dark, lonely path or a happy time of joy or somewhere in-between - Our God is there!

It is OCTOBER 31st and it seemed very fitting to take some time to focus on WHO we're really battling and equip ourselves with what to do!

Ephesians 6 is such an incredible passage - I love the armor of God...but before you get there you see WHY Paul tells us we need to armor up...he tells us who our REAL battle is against. And friend...nothing has changed today! You may be frustrated by things in your business, your marriage, your family...but our REAL battle is so much deeper.

Take a minute today to set your mind on the things above and take every need, worry, concern, fear...EVERYTHING to our good God in prayer!
